AUTOMATION AUDIT

Automation audit: the map of your process

After the free 20-minute discovery call, the audit is the paid step that comes before any build. It documents one real process with the person who actually does the work, and leaves you with a written report that is yours, whether or not we work together afterwards.

DIRECT ANSWER · What is the automation audit, and what do I get?

A paid, fixed-price audit of about two weeks. We document one real process with the person who does the work and give you, in writing, the map of the process, the automations ranked, the approval points and the plan for your first machine with a firm quote. The fee is credited toward the build if you go ahead within 60 days.

The method, in five steps (about two weeks)

01 Preparation

You fill in a one-page questionnaire, list your tools and share three real examples of requests or files, anonymised if needed. About an hour on your side.

02 Mapping workshop

Ninety minutes by video call with the person who actually does the work. We follow one request from arrival to resolution.

03 Observation

We follow two or three real files, with read-only access or screenshots, to find the re-keying, the waiting, the follow-ups and the decisions that must stay human.

04 Analysis

What your current tools already allow, the time spent calculated from your own figures, and the risks around personal data (Quebec's Law 25, hosting, access).

05 Debrief

A sixty-minute meeting to walk through the written report and answer your questions.

What you get, in writing

The map of your process

Every step, who does it, and the exact places where work stalls.

An inventory of your tools

What can be connected, how, and where each system reaches its limits.

Automations, ranked

For each one: the effort, the expected effect calculated from your figures, and the risk.

Approval points

The decisions that stay human, and exactly where the agent stops to present them to you.

The plan for your first machine

Scope, prerequisites, a fixed quote and a schedule.

Compliance points

Which personal data is involved, where it lives and who can access it.

Terms

A fixed price, presented on the discovery call once we understand the process, and paid in advance: in Canadian dollars in Canada, in US dollars in the United States. No hourly billing.

The audit fee is credited toward the build if you go ahead within 60 days.

The report is yours, whether or not we work together afterwards.

The figures in the report come from your data. We promise no savings before measuring them.

Start with one process that gets stuck

Bring an example of an unanswered request, repeated data entry or a file waiting on documents. We look at the steps and tools with you, then discuss what a first project could cover. The scope, quote and schedule are agreed before construction.
